Good Neighbors in Town

Wendell town hall - Photo By Christopher ParkerWendell's "Good Neighbors" is a volunteer driven food pantry serving residents of Wendell and New Salem. They provide free food and information abd referral services to other programs serving low-income individuals and families.

The food pantry also sponsors the Family Network Program for residents of Wendell, New Salem, Shutsbury, Erving, and Leverett with children ages 4 and under. This program provides free diapers, formula, baby foods, and various commodities for infants and children.

"Good Neighbors" depends on a large group of dedicated volunteers, as well as donations from the community. At present more than 25% of Wendell's residents are members of "Good Neighbors" with more people joining weekly. Donations are greatly appreciated and can be mailed to:

"Good Neighbors" is located in the old Town Hall in Wendell Center and is open Sundays from 1:00pm-2:00pm. The Family Network Program is open on the 4th Sunday of every month. For further information or to volunteer at the food pantry, please call Lola (978-544-2109) or Nancy (978-544-2533).
