Fermenting food is a creative and inexpensive way to enhance the nutritive properties of your favorite foods and introduce new flavors into your diet. Wendell residents Luc Bodin and Trudy Smith are passionate about the benefits and varieties of lacto-fermented foods. They will demonstrate how to make simple krauts, pickles, relishes, condiments and kvass adding ginger, cayenne, herbs, salt, miso, tamari, lemon, garlic, onions and apples and other ingredients as enhancements.
