Ice storm, December 13th - Photo by Angela Duga2009 began with extensive clean up yet to be done after the December 2008 Ice Storm.  At this time we were down to two full time men, David Bock (acting road boss) and Jon Hadley.  Richard Wilder of Wendell was filling in part time during snow storms.

In February, David Bock was appointed as full time road boss.  In July, Richard Wilder was appointed full time.

During the year clean up from the Ice storm was done with a rented chipper. Bridget Niccolitti of Athol worked part time to help with this clean up. Everyone was very busy trying to cleanup the mess in between other road maintenance projects. Clean up was completed in August.

During the summer and fall, the road crew worked on sections of Mormon Hollow Rd and Farley Road, which were repaved in November. The road crew also helped with installation of new emergency generators at the Highway / Fire Garage, Town Offices, and Town Water Supply.

The purchase of a used 2006 caterpillar 420 E Backhoe was made to replace the 1987 Case 580K. Also received was a 2010 International Work Star Dump Truck to replace the 1985 Ford F 8000 Sand Truck.

The Highway / Fire Garage had extensive long needed repairs to the roof, siding and trim that were leaking and rotted. The building has also been repainted.
