I hereby certify that the following is a true copy of the votes taken at the Town Meeting held at the Town Hall in the Town of Wendell on August 12, 2008, 7:00 p.m. A quorum was present.

ARTICLE 1: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to rescind the vote to raise and appropriate $266,626.00 for the Ralph C. Mahar Regional School District as voted at the Annual Town Meeting of June 3, 2008.

ARTICLE 2: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to amend Article 20 as voted at the June 6, 2007 Annual Town Meeting by adding the words, “In the event there is no grant funding, the $2,500.00 may still be used to update Wendell’s Open Space Plan”.

ARTICLE 3: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to adopt G.L. Chapter 59, Section 57C for the purpose of establishing a semi-annual preliminary tax payment system beginning in Fiscal Year 09, contingent upon the approval of the Commissioner of Revenue.

ARTICLE 4: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to raise and appropriate the sum of $1,000.00 for the Tax Collector’s Salary Account to cover additional compensation to the Collector for having been awarded Certification from the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association.

ARTICLE 5: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to transfer the sum of $7,500.00 from the Stabilization account, to pay the deductible costs on a recent insurance claim and settlement.

I hereby certify that the following is a true copy of the votes taken at the Town Meeting held at the Town Hall in the Town of Wendell on December 17, 2008, 7:00 p.m. A quorum was present.

ARTICLE 1: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously , pursuant to MGL c. 82A, §2,  to designate the Selectboard as the means by which the Town shall designate the Board or Officer to issue permits for the purpose of creating a trench as that term is defined by MGL c. 82A, §4 and 520 CMR 14.00.

ARTICLE 2: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously, to transfer the sum of $2,500.00 from the Foundation Reserve Award fund to the Highway Department Account to cover expenses associated with hiring a clerk for the Highway Department.

ARTICLE 3: Voted in the affirmative, unanimously to transfer the sum of $1,500.00 from the Foundation Reserve Award fund to the Road Commissioners Expense Account to pay for the purchase of a new computer and related expenses.
