To the Constable of the Town of Wendell in the County of Franklin.

Greetings:
 

In the name of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you are hereby directed to notify and warn the inhabitants of said Town, qualified to vote in elections and in Town affairs, to meet at the Town Hall in said Town on Wednesday March 9, 2011 at 7:00 PM, then and there to act on the following articles:

ARTICLE 1:  To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available funds the sum of $50,000 to pay Wendell’s share of costs associated with project management and engineering for repairs to the Swift River School roof and boiler, a project for which the Town has applied for funding from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA), and with the understanding that the MSBA’s grant program is a non-entitlement, discretionary program based on need, as determined by the MSBA, and any project costs that the Town incurs in excess of any grant that may be received from the MSBA shall be the sole responsibility of the Town, or take any action thereon.  

ARTICLE 2: To see if the Town will vote to transfer from available funds the sum of $22,538 to pay the balance of Wendell’s share of the Franklin County Technical School assessment for FY11, or take any action thereon.  

ARTICLE 3: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $1,712.50 to pay a bill of a prior year for the Swift River School capital project related to the public address system, or take any action thereon.

 ARTICLE 4: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $30,000 to purchase a wood chipper for the Highway Department, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 5: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $1500 to pay for the purchase and installation of a server or other, similar technology to provide backup for the Town Office computers, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 6: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $2500 for the Emergency Management Committee Account, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 7: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $2000 for the Town Property Upkeep Account, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 8: To see if the Town will vote to raise and appropriate or transfer from available funds the sum of $2400 to pay for additional costs associated with Assessors maps, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 9: To see if the Town will vote to transfer the sum of$249,544 from Free Cash to the Stabilization Account, or take any action thereon.

ARTICLE 10: To transact any other legal business that may come before said meeting, or take any action thereon.
 
And you are directed to serve this Warrant by posting up attested copies thereof at the Wendell Country Store, Wendell Town Hall, Wendell Town Office Building, Wendell Library, and Wendell Depot Store 14 days at least prior to the time of holding said meeting.
 
Hereof fail not, and make due return of this Warrant with your doings thereon, to the Town Clerk, at the time and place of meeting, as aforesaid
