Book Discussion Group

The Wendell Free Library Book Discussion Group’s December meeting will be held in the Herrick Room on Jan. 2 from 10-11:00ish.

We will be discussing “Kabul Beauty School” by Deborah Rodriguez. This is a light-hearted look at the author’s time in Afghanistan after the Taliban left when she worked to start a beauty school and help Afghan women start their own salons to gain a measure of independence. While there are some harrowing moments in the book, its overall tone is humorous and uplifting.

There are books and an audiobook available to pick up at the library.
