NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
CLASSIFICATION OF PROPERTY ACCORDING TO USE
The Selectboard will conduct a public hearing at:
7:00 PM
August 31, 2022
on Property Tax Classification under the provisions of Chapter 40, Section 56 of the Massachusetts General Laws.
The meeting will be held remotely via Zoom at the link below.
The issue for discussion at the hearing is allocating of the local property tax levy amount among the five classes of property for FY 2023 tax bills, residential, open space, commercial, industrial, and personal property.
The Selectboard will be able to provide the information and data relevant to making the determination, including the fiscal effect of the available alternatives.
Citizens and taxpayers may present oral or written information for the consideration of the Selectboard in advance of the meeting or attend the meeting.
