A New Catalog Experience is Coming Soon!

Our library catalog will be getting an upgrade in early March to bring you a better online browsing experience. The new catalog’s features include search suggestions, spell check, and grouped records to make finding your next read even easier!

All of your current checkouts and holds will carry over to the new system. When you log in to the new catalog, you will sign in with your pre-existing library card number and PIN/password; if you have any difficulty accessing your account, please let us know, and we’ll be happy to help!

Karie Neal, art teach at Swift River School is displaying her nature inspired paintings in the Herrick room during March and April.

Sisters in Crime Making a Mystery

Saturday March 9, 1-2:30 pm.

In this cozy interactive workshop, four mystery authors representing different sub-genres (including cozy/traditional, and thriller/suspense) will brainstorm on their feet to create a brand new mystery using suggestions from the audience. Fun, fast-paced, and fascinating, this improv game offers important insights into mystery writers minds and the conventions of the genre. To be followed by a short reception with food and drinks. Registration requested. Funded by the Wendell Cultural Council

This Workshop Offers Opportunities to Connect, Heal Our Bodies, Soothe Our Spirits & Inspire Our Hearts.
During this Interactive time, we will Explore & Play with Ancient Eastern
Healing Techniques & Tools that have Changed Countless Lives, Over Thousands of Years! Through gentle exercises (Qi Gong & visualization) & experiential observation of our energy
systems, we will recognize our role in nature and in maintaining our Precious Well-Being. We’ll have fun connecting with acupoints, & learn methods to relieve discomforts and to help us to be more in the flow. Bring a Friend, or come and make new friends!

Poetry Prompt Box in Book

The first in a series of 3 workshops that bring art and poetry together with Jeannette Stockton.

In this art /poetry collaborative workshop, participants will create a handy activity box book project that targets the problem of writer’s block.

After creating the handmade box book, we’ll hide tiny simple books full of fun, thought provoking prompts and ideas in the drawers for when you need a little inspiration for writing a poem.

Stop by the library to see a sample of this intriguing design.

I See You: Stories From Wetlands and Woods, a program with Dale Monette

Friday April 5, 6:30pm

A program of the stories behind the photos of Dale Monette’s 4th book released this month. Monette juxtaposes his favorite unpublished images and the interesting stories behind them and puts them together under the title “I SEE YOU: Stories from Wetlands and Woods”. Monette delves into the camera equipment and lenses used for the images, the habitat, the time of the season and the circumstances that made getting the photograph possible.
