Ward will be away

Agenda:

Fiske Pond:

Dam registration: A request from the Office of Dam Safety claims that the Fiske Dam registration is incomplete. The response is being handled by the Town Coordinator at the request of the Selectboard.

FPAC chair Eliza Chappell has submitted a grant application to DCR for Glossy Buckthorn and Asian Bittersweet control on and near the dam and in the meadow.

Wendell Free Library RDA: the Library wants to install an ADA-compliant footpath in the previously disturbed buffer zone circling the basketball/pickleball court and into the stone circle.

Old Egypt Road logging query: Old Egypt Road resident Mark Roblee emailed asking for details about Fred Heyes’s Forest Cutting Plan on Old Egypt. Mary replied that she had talked with the Service Forester last year about Mr. Heyes’s FCP and emailed the Service Forester again after Mr. Roblee’s email. The Service Forester explained that Mr. Heyes filed for an extension to his original permit issued in 2017 while he determines how to access the property. Coming from either end of Old Egypt Road involves crossing streams (either Fiske or Skerry Brook) where there are no bridges. Mr. Heyes will have to file an amendment to his FCP once he determines his access route, the Service Forester said, and the Commission will be involved in permitting if the access route crosses Fiske Brook. This might give us the opportunity to require Mr. Heyes to restore that extremely eroded section of Old Egypt Road. It’s unclear whether the Skerry Brook crossing is in Wendell.

Solar/battery application adjacent to 69 Lockes Village Road: In October, NEXAMP agreed to reschedule the hearing continuation to November 11. The Commission met briefly on October 23 to approve Stockman Associates’ quote of $1,980 for their 3rd party review. As of November 4, the Commission has not received NEXAMP’s check for $1,980 made out to Stockman Associates LLC, which NEXAMP says was mailed on October 30. Mary has asked the applicants if the hearing can be continued to December 11 to allow sufficient time for the review and for the Commissioners’ digestion thereof. If they agree, the hearing will be continued without discussion.

Items not anticipated prior to posting

Approval or amendment of minutes for September 9, 2025, October 14, 2025, and October 23, 2025.

Scheduling the next meeting—probably December 9, 2025 at 6 p.m.

Closing the meeting.
