Free Regional Repair Event Saturday, May 31st The Franklin County Solid Waste District and the Franklin County Tech School are hosting the 1st annual Regional Repair Event on Saturday, May 31st from 9 am – 1 pm at the Tech School, 82 Industrial Blvd, Turners Falls. Students, instructors, and local fixers will be on hand. Every effort will be made to repair your item(s). Antiques and heirlooms cannot be fixed at this event. Bring: Also! Lamps and household electrical items * Blood pressure checks Wooden items like chairs and stools Items needing to be glued * Tick-repellent boot Knives to sharpen (2 per household) spraying (10-noon only) Lawn mower blades for sharpening Chainsaw chains for sharpening * Food by the Culinary Dept. Mending (sewing); darning; wool repair Sadie’s Bikes will offer repairs that do not require parts. For example, adjust brakes, oil chain, etc. They will also provide instruction on repairs.
