Unique Film Screening at Wendell Free Library, Regenerating Life Friday Jan. 19 at 6pm

Posted on January 10, 2024

Come to the Wendell Free Library next Friday (January 19 at 6pm)  for a special screening of the film “Regenerating Life: How to cool the planet, feed the world, and live happily ever after”. The film is packed full of information, some of which we may have heard before, but also many new ideas about the causes of and solutions to climate change that we can practice right here at home.

Among many interesting scientists, farmers and activists included in the film are Leah and Naima Penniman of Soul Fire Farm, daughters of Wendell resident Adele Smith-Penniman. The film-maker, John Feldman is also well known for his previous documentary Symbiotic Earth (2018), a documentary about the scientific contributions of University of Massachusetts scientist Lynn Margulis.

We shifted the start time of the film earlier by a half hour to accommodate its runtime, please feel free to bring your dinner with you if needed.

From Hummingbird Films: Regenerating Life takes an ecological approach to unpacking the social and environmental crises that confront us, shifting the prevailing climate change story, and offering new, attainable solutions. “An important/crucial wake up call for received ecological wisdom, including the causes of climate change.” – Dorion Sagan, co-author of Gaia and Philosophy
