Forms for Meeting Notices and Minutes

Meeting Notices

All meetings of a public body are open to the public, and public bodies must post notice of meetings at least 48 hours in advance, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays. In Wendell, meeting notices are posted at the Town Offices on the outside notice board. A copy of the notice including the posting date must be submitted to the Town Clerk by hand or via email (townclerk@wendellmass.us). A standard form for meeting notices is available for download. If you chose not to use this form, please make sure your notice includes the date, time, and place of your meeting and a listing of topics that the Chair reasonably anticipates will be discussed at the meeting.

Meeting Minutes

Meeting minutes are also required and must state the date, time, and place of the meeting, and list members present or absent. Minutes must include a discussion of each topic; decisions made and actions taken, including a record of all votes; and a list of documents and other exhibits used by the body at the meeting. A final version of the meeting minutes is a public record that, by law, must be permanently retained. Please submit a copy to the Town Clerk by hand or via email (townclerk@wendellmass.us). A standard form for meeting minutes is available for download.
